he's not trying very hard to sell it with that crappy description. oil pan looks rough

As always--asking prices do not tell the story that will play out.

No main cap bolts say threw together for a picture.

I agree with you, and there's no pictures of the top or the other side... I wonder if it comes with an intake, valve covers, etc

Dang moparcrazy, sorry we're just picking your post right apart... although you'd think people running these ads would be a little more realistic.. craigslist usually gets shredded pretty good around here huh!

Selling something like this is tough.
A buyer would tend to see only basic parts. All would need to go back to step one for an engine build.
A seller should expect what a buyer will expect.---A non-running engine is a group of parts.

The lack of pictures, missing main cap side bolts, rusty rocker stands, beat up home made oil pan & painted Pontiac blue pretty much size up what this engine is really like.

"No Tire Kickers"
That add is one big tire kicker. What a worthless single pic for an ad. Not even a money shot of the top of it? Must be a GM guy. Or maybe not even a car guy.

For 12k it will be for sale for a long time, that's a lot of money just for a 66 block missing a lot of important dated parts.
