66 satelite front wheel backspacing

Just curious about running a 6in front wheel on 66 67 satelite or belvedere.3.5 backspacing?????

Ran 15 x 7 with 3.5 or 4" bs no problem with an 8" wide tire.

Ran a 235-70x15 on a factory 15x6 a12 wheel with a 4" bs (I think, I don't have my notes here), and when I went to change setups was surprised to find a rub on one tire.
I'm pretty sure it was against a fenderwell header tube.
I think a 15x6 with 3 1/2- 3 3/4 would be golden.
