I need a spare tire for my '67 Belvedere. What size will fit in the well in the trunk and still allow the fiberboard cover sit flush with the trunk floor? I would like the tire to be narrow enough so the fiberboard sits flush with the trunk floor, but wide enough to touch the fiberboard to support the weight of anything I put in the trunk.
The previous owner had a 205 65 14. It was just a little too wide.
