67 GTX w/440 Exhaust Question

[67 GTX]

I am looking to replace the exhaust system on my 67 GTX w/a 440.

Looking on accurate exhaust's website, it lists the exhaust manifold part numbers as:
Left # 2806974
Right # 2806900

Can anyone confirm if those are correct for my car?

Also, do different manifolds have the their dumps in different spots? I don't mean center or rear dump manifolds. I mean, do all rear dump manifolds have their "collector" in the same spot, as in distance from head, angle, etc?

I currently have these manifolds:
Left # 2843992-1 (Hard to read casting date but might be - 24 67)
Right # 2889879 (Possible casting date of 9 14 70)

So I'm trying to tell if I keep these manifolds, will it cause issues with bolting up exactly to the correct exhaust system for my car.

The 67 GTX right exhaust manifold is the same # 67-69, the casting date is the only difference. The left exhaust manifold is a 67 only casting. I don't recall the #, but it's easily recognizable from the 68-69 manifolds. A picture and I can tell you without looking it up. Also the angle of the exhaust dump is slightly different from year to year. The exhaust pipes on a 67 GTX is an H pipe and were not separate pieces in 67. The tailpipes were 2 different part #'s.

Just looked the numbers up,and you have correct numbers for 67 B body HP manifolds.

I'm pretty sure the 67 driver side manifold is clocked differently. It's recognizable because the casting number is upside down. I would call accurate and ask. On their order form they have a required field for listing your exhaust manifold numbers. They might customize based on the manifold numbers you give them.

You could get the correct manifolds, the first ones you listed, and get the 67 H pipe, or see if they will make a custom H pipe for the manifolds you have now, as noted above.

I knew my passenger side one wasn't correct, but I'm realizing now my driver's side might not be as well.
This'll throw a wrench into my plans. I'll call and see if they can work with what I got.

If you don't care about factory appearance, then TTI should be able to fix you up with the manifolds you have now. Another option would be to find a 2806900 right side manifold and use a 68- 69 H pipe. If you want a 100% factory look, then you need the 1967 manifolds, of which the left side could be expensive.

Thank you. I would prefer the 100% factory look, but I know the left side one is expensive.
My exhaust never really fit quite right, and now I am wondering if it correct for the car, and it's the manifolds that are messing up the alignment.
I always assumed it was the other way.

Does anyone know the year the heat riser switched from the weight looking style to the door knob looking style?

67-69, the right side had the same casting number, and 1970 the heatriser changed.

Sorry I didn't look at them closely for part numbers as I'm not looking for them.
I just noticed they looked to be in good shape and noted they were listed as 1967.
Good thing Sam69sat noticed...
