I have this 1967 dated 440 block that I bought years ago I believe from a sho that shut down. It is standard bore on one side and partially
Machined .030 on the other side. I was flipping it over to look for numbers and I accidentally broke part of the lower ear off but I still have it. It has no vin that I can find. I’ll take 650 for it. Pick up in Leitchfield Ky 42754. If that’s too high make me an offer. I know nothing else about it.

Looks like a D on the I’d pad so that would make it a 68 block.

Cast in 1967, but originally in a 1968 car. Look at the bellhousing mounting flange, drivers side for a partial VIN #. Pictures 6 and 7 enlarged could yield something. I may be dreaming but it looks like something could be there.

Any 68 HP block with a VIN stamp on the bell housing flange that I’ve seen has been unmistakable. I’m not seeing anything.

No vin on warranty blocks

1 17 = January 17th 1968 Engine assembly date

No vin on warranty blocks
Some dealerships actually stamped VIN's on pan rail pads 69/70 for warrantee installs.

Early 68 line installs probably didn't get rear engine / bellhousing VIN stamps.
