Could anyone with a 68-70 Vert please measure the diameter of your torsion bars & maybe even the length?

I'm working on my 68 Coronet & discovered I apparently don't have the correct bars... The first guy who was helping me get the bodywork done used my original bars as a prybar & mangled it... I got another set of bars years ago but apparently they are for a hardtop & won't work...

Sorry - mine is a 1967 Belvedere . . . close but no cigar . . .

Actually there is a 67 vert being parted out right now here on FBBO so I'm wondering about that too...

You have got to be kidding he used them as pry bars?....

Unfortunately, I dont have one to help you out.....

There are two B body vert being parted out in the classifieds so I'm thinking I'll be ok, can't imagine to many guys need a pair of them..

66-70 B body platform are the same. I don't see why 67 bars will not work on a 68, if both are convertibles.

That's kinda what I'm thinking.... Need to dig into my parts catalog & see if I can confirm...

Who's good at deciphering the Parts Book? Looks like as long as its from a Coronet & not a Satellite it should be fine... 2dr, 4dr & vert... But maybe to lengths depending on production date??? I'm I reading it right?

I'm as confused as you in reading the parts book. I have a guy that works in parts at the local dealership that figures things like that out when I can't.

Sorry I’m late on this. For future reference, Up in the front of all the catalogs under the general information tab is an abbreviation list. Always reference that if there is any confusion.
Cv. Cp. is shorthand for convertible coupe. Depending on what is being looked up, sometimes you’ll need the price class Etc.
