gonna be installing the windshield since the dash is now installed who makes the best reproduction gasket?

I bought mine from Mega parts. I believe they get them from Metro Moulded parts. Mine worked perfectly with no leaks. However, I had mine installed by an auto glass installer that knows the business. I have hears the war stories from people that did their own install.

I used one from classic industry, fit good. Glass installed properly, no leaks. Not sure who's seal it is though

Scott, go with a Precision gasket. They work and fit nicely and less expensive than a Steele gasket. If you need one, I have them in stock. To my knowledge, Metro does not make any windshield or rear window gaskets, they are possibly purchasing them from Precision or Steele and placing them in there package.

I used the gasket sold by AMD. Ordered on Amazon Prime so I got it in two days. It was my first windshield install but fit and finish was excellent.

How about stainless trim fit ? I hear some gaskets interfere unless the sealer is just the right thickness.............................MO

With the clips and gasket from classic industries everything fit back into place like it was born to do it

The AMD gasket fit the front trim excellent, no issues.

As long as you do not go crazy with the sealer, the front trim will not be an issue. When doing the rear glass, it is best to test fit the glass with different thickness of the butyl tape. If you go too thick, the glass will be higher than the trim holding it off. Too low and there will be a small gap between the glass and trim, so it takes some test fitting and combinations to get the very best fit and finish.
