68 Charger wheel well color

    I have a 68 Charger getting ready to go to paint and wondering if I should paint the wheel wells QQ1 blue like the body or black. I'm afraid if I paint them the body color they will stick out too much. I'm not using any undercoating so the color will matter. Does anybody know how they came from the factory?

    actually, they just got whatever overspray got on them from spraying the exterior

      Wheel wells got dip primer, overspray & undercoated... Under body undercoating was optional, wheel wells always got undercoated to prevent rocks flung by the tires causing outward dents..

        Paint the wrlls black, unless you are doing a concours restoration.

        i've done this to the last few....... undercoat in the wheel wells afterwards if you want
