My car build is moving along pretty good, so I figured it's time to create a tread for it.
I had Street Rod Designs create a rendering of what I want the car to look like when its all done. Shane 68 Coronet Web Post Large.jpg

I started with a 5.7 hemi from a Durango. I did have an issue with the throttle body sticking up too high and would not allow my hood to close, so I purchased a car intake and front accessory kit. No w it fits perfect.

              Here's the tranny mount

Looks great, color is excellent. I really like darker colors on these cars. Engine looks right at home, too. What is that radiator, looks beefy!

Looks great. Curious on the rendering as to which suspension set up gets you there? The 1.5” drop at the rear springs and then the 1.5” drop spindle fronts and the rest eat up with torsion bar adjustment?
Also, have you sized out tire/wheel combos w/ backspacing to get to your goal?

the rear should not be a problem getting the ride height perfect. The front, hopefully we can get it close with what I installed.
Front suspension: firm feel tubular upper control arms, qa1 lower control arms and Hotchkis torsion bars and shocks
Rear suspension: Reilly Motorsports adjustable Street-Lynx trangulated 4-bar system

We have not yet ordered the wheels. Going with 20” wheels in the rear and haven’t decided on the front. 18”,19’ or 20” for the front.
The renderings show 20” front and back.
We will be measuring for wheels in the next week or two.

Swedish build.. really nice car. I talked to the guy who built it when he first showed it at a car meet. I was interrested in buying it but we were a bit too far from each other on the price. I regret that today..

Will follow this build with interrest! I'd go for 18" or 19". I have 20" on right now and imo it looks a bit too large. But remember it's your car and your choice!

Absolutely beautiful! I love the rendering too, I have contemplated getting one done for my 69 build to keep me motivated. SRD does great work. Can you share how much the rendering cost?
