68 GTX 440 Carb top to 440 info pad dimension anyone?

Hi Guys, I finally received my AVS2 from Jegs and am now going to figure out the hood clearance issues!
I have read all of the posts you have provided and will be buying the Mancini Drop-Base to start with. The
one thing I need to keep my sanity is if someone could please remove the air cleaner assembly and take
the measurement from the surface that the base sets on to the info pad on the front of the 440 block.
Mine is 7-7/8" with an Indy MW dual plane intake. Just some place to start! Thanks!

I'm getting 6.5" with a stock intake and an AVS2 carb with a 1/4" phenolic spacer. So about 6.25" with just a gasket.

The height of the Edel carbs is the same as the original carter AFB/AVS carbs, so if they fit, the E carbs will also.
