My GTX has a 67 build date, and this car has no dash mounted reverse indicator.

Was the reverse indicator an option?

If you have an Inland shifter, I don’t think they had a reverse light. They might have come with the Hurst shifter. Maybe in was mandated sometime in 68. Just really guessing.

As stated above, if it originally had an inland shifter then there was no reverse light on the dash.

I think it was because the hurst shifter doesn’t have a reverse lockout. It wasn’t government mandated. No GM or Ford cars have a dash mount reverse light that I know of.
