Howdy Folks, So I got an Email from the Guy that has My old 70 Charger bought new by My Dad. He will be selling in the near future, like 6 months or so and gave me first dibs. I had to sell due to divorce back around 1999-2000. I really want it back as you can well imagine. That being said I need to liqidate some cars to afford it. The 68 R/R is one and the 73 Duster is another. Can I get a realistic price from yall on the 68? It was done about 7-8 years ago with a complete driveline rebuild. Poly everything F&R suspension. Everything Legendary interior. Dash, gauges, heater box ect. Not a NOM as it has a 67 440 with 906s with the 2.14 valves all redone.

I will list it here first when the time comes. I need to get more info and Pics of the Charger and its condition before I commit. Thanks for your time.

According to the NADA Guide a "383" car
(440 wasn't offered in 1968 only Hemi & 383 4bbl 335hp)

you didn't say it was a 4 speed so I assume it's a TF727
the 4 speed cars bring a bit more value

didn't say it had A/C so I assume it doesn't also
they bring a tad bit more value too

a mid-year HT RM23 option can bring a lil' more value too

hopefully you have the fender tag
& org. assembly line build sheet/broadcast sheet, it helps

with the MoPar crowd & values
1st hit is, it's a non #'s matching car, no matter how nice it is
(don't get me wrong, it's still a nicely done car)
so you can take maybe between 10%-20% off the #'s
really depends on the car & the buyers perceptions or analness

so all of this is estimates
where you live, can dictate prices too
where the car was originally from & org. condition can too

----------------------------------------------------------------------

according to Nadaguide, est.'s

a Low retail price for like a #3 car,
a 20-footer that barely runs & drives & it all there
is $20.8k average cost

a middle of the road #2 car,
nice clean driver quality car,
is $46.4k average cost
(I believe yours is a nice car, it should be in or around this type of value, give or take)

for a #1 like a full on #'s matching recent professionally done, restoration
or maybe a more rare clean drivable condition 100% survivor car,
is $81.7k average costs
(I think that's 'way high' for a base 2 dr RM21 68 383 RR, even with a 440 transplant)

Thanks for the break down.

I like the coups....but can't afford #1 car or even a #2 car. Wouldn't mind finding even a Belvedere (the 68 road runner had the Belvedere badge on them too) coupe. found one years ago but passed on it because of too much rust. Kinda wish I hadn't now.
