O.K., so now all of the Tar Baby work is done, let's get this thing blasted underneath! Glad I have a friend with a sandblasting and painting business! He didn't hit me for the full fare.

Now that all of the Barnacles are gone, I can try and blow out all of the Media out of the Nooks
and Crannies. Frame connectors and primer are next!

Nice photos and the floor fitting frame connectors look great. Congrats on your blue start.

QQ1 is an awesome color. It gets mistaken for B5 but it's completely different.

Now I have found some rust between the driver's quarter and the outer wheel house.
In front of the wheel opening and by the rocker. Leaves got down in there and decomposed
and stayed wet. Dang! Didn't plan on this.

Hot damn Paulie! She's lookin great!

How hard was that imron to work with? My uncle raves about it. He used to use it back in the 80's.

It's a single stage that you can can put their 500S clear over, or not. The underside
and interior got just the color. The engine compartment got the clear over it. I'm just
now putting the relevant pic's here for everyone. I've got alot to put together yet!
Don't break out the party hats yet! You can't buy it anymore. No one has the
mixing ingredients. Very easy to apply!

So I addressed all of the rust issues and was lucky enough to find a nice pictoral
on line where a guy named "Chris" replaced a quarter on a 68 Charger. Gave me all
of the info I needed to do the job! I used 3/32" Clecos and panel clamps from Harbor
Freight. Everything worked great!

Now for priming and blocking, and priming, and blocking.
again! More blocking! Yeah, I wore down a bunch of cartilage
on this one! I put one coat of DuPont Epoxy primer down, and
then two coats of Evercoat Slick Sand. After everything looked
good, I put wo coats of 2K Grey primer over that and wet-blocked
everything. One of the things that surprised me was the roof. When
I started to block the roof, all of the cross bracing showed up! I
couldn't believe it! Oh well, it had alot of years to relax & move around.

Awesome start to a beautiful car. Blocking and priming you say??

Cleaning up the trunk floor and all of the concave depressions with a piece of
7/16" wooden dowel rod and some 80 grit D.A. paper. Yes, more blocking!
