69 B Body Floor shift conversion- Mounting (Console)

I'm changing a 69 Charger over to floor shift.
I've found it's happy place that allows unbound shifting and the console is pretty much centered.

Question

Should the "shifter bracket" 2 screw console mount be flange be level if car is level?

OR

Should the console Door be level?

Ive found you cant have both.

IIRC, the console shifter bracket tracks with the trans hump, on a slight incline at the bracket area. Console door should be approx level.
