Which backing plate is for manual brakes, the one with the round hole or the one with the odd shaped hole?

Are you talking for the front ? 11, 10”?
I should have been more specific ... the master cylinder backing plate. Anyhow, I found my original so I have the answer.

Round hole = power brakes. Oddball hole = manual brakes.
