69 GTX idler arm original color?

Was the original idler arm for a 68-70 B body the natural cast iron color or was it painted black by the vendor? I want to say that it was natural cast iron like the center link.

It's a forged steel part so will have the color of bare steel with maybe some heat treating effect.

my old car, survivor 69 roadrunner, had a black painted idler arm; it looked like it had been replaced in the past, i was told that sometimes the partsvendor delivered black idler arms

Ok, thats what I was thinking but the OE replacement one that I got was painted black so I figured I would double check to make sure that they were natural when they left the factory.
