Has anyone on here ever converted a non A/C dash to an A/C dash in a B body?
I have a 69 Road Runner and am going with Vintage Air but would REALLY like to use factory vents rather than the cheesy ones that come with the kit.

If so....I would be a buyer on any parts that I need.

Thanks!

Not yet, but I bought the required parts a few years ago at Spring Fling. $400 for the vents including the center pad surround. Everything works. Bought a box on FBBO to plumb it. Planning on the job getting done when the dash wiring gets replaced. These are hard to find and pricy items. The vents took three donors to put together a working one. Got them from a guy name Darryl in the California desert. I can post pics and his info later if you need it. Good luck. Get your wallet. I have Classic Autos Air out of Tampa. The vents are cheesy, but the system has been ice cold for 9 years.

I cut my dash for the factory vents but I had it out of the car when i did it. Also had an A/C dash to use as a pattern. Laid out the location and used a dremel with cutoff wheels and lots of patience. You only have to cut for the side vents the center is already punched.

Welcome too. May want to move this thread for more advice. See coronetdarters build post for more dash/ac info.
