I have a 69 roadrunner that was air conditioning equipped when new but the heater box is now long gone. I am thinking of getting some heat back into this car and I am wondering if a heater box from a non-air car will go in the place of the original heater box that had provisions for air conditioning without drilling new holes. All responses are appreciated!

I had the same problem with my 68 Satellite. I did eventually find an AC heater box how ever I would like to convert it over to heat only. Looking forward to the responces.

Nope, you're gonna have to find the proper box (if you want to do this without mods). The heater core is in a different location as well as the blower motor in A/C Vs NON A/C

unfortunately, they are correct. it will not "bolt" in. as stated before the heater core is in a different area through the firewall and also the blower motor for the a/c unit protrudes through the firewall also.
