So, my 500 is (of course) buckets and console interior, with a floor shift auto. I was looking under the hood the other day trying to find casting numbers on the exhaust manifolds (any tips?), and noticed the steering column has a linkage on it, going to the transmission. Is this for a column shift?? The interior has zero column shift parts - no PRNDL on the column, no missing lever, no rotating collar. Is this just the ignition interlock?

Yup, that looks like it. Very similar look to my '72 Satellite column shift setup in my wagon...but I disconnected that, when I put a B&M floor shifter in, for the reverse-manual 727.

When I converted mine to a Tremec 5 speed...

My original floor shift column had this linkage in place.
