71 Charger Interior Sail Panel Weatherstrip Clips...How to reinstall?

Here's the new one, the original and the sail panel...the new ones have a hole drilled in them where the clips would go on the originals. How are you guys re-attaching them?? I figured I would get some input before I would just start putting goop on ****. Appreciate any help

Just used screws instead. Rather have used the original clips
