71 Charger RT upgrade from 14 to 15 steel wheels

I want to upgrade the factory 14 steel wheels with 15 steel wheels. I prefer the steel wheel look and have a set of 15 x 8 with a 4.5 back space that I bought from Coker tire a few years back. I am planning to buy 275/60 for the rear and 245/60 for the front. Does anyone foresee any problems? I was also wondering if I could go wider in the rear... these cars need all the tire as possible to fill these wheel wells for sure!!

Why not 255/60 in the front?

No problems with that combination. Ran the same on my 72.

If they will work, 255 it is! Do you know if 295 would work in back?

Aw the will 295 fit. It's been asked many times before and yes they will fit with the right backspacing. It will be a very tight squeeze tho.

I have 15x7 with G60-15 front and L60-15 rear. The 255 will fit the front on your car but surely rub the inner frame rail at full turning lock.

Well I did the up grade. 255/60/15 up front and 275/60/15 in back. Haven’t washed the WL yet or installed the caps. But I like it much better already!
