Hi Guys,

Back at the car again after giving it a rest for a Good while. I thought I’d get a couple of jobs done while self isolating and ordered some parts.

among the parts I got some strut rod bushes. I checked a couple of sites and all List the energy suspension 57109 for my year, I checked the various engine sizes too as mine left the factory with a small block and all the same on rock auto.

The new bushes are considerably smaller. Anyone ever run into this?

Regards,

D

Poly is denser so it can be smaller
if it locates strut in correct location you should be good

That’s what I initially thought, but the aperture for the bush is bigger than the lip that sits into the aperture. So you can’t properly centre the bush.

New ones on the way but I fear they may be the same. I read somewhere that the later K Frames had a different strut rod bush.

anything to this??
