I have a 8.25 rear end. I’m upgrading the car to a 440 with 727. This might be a dumb question but will all 8.75 rear ends bolt in? Years of other models that fit. Is there a better rear end? Will a 8.75 rear hold for 500-600 hp.?Has anyone put in a shorter rear end for more tire clearance? Just getting ideas. Just street use maybe the Occasional track rip.

71-74 B body 8 3/4 is kinda hard to find.

70-74 E body is kinda easy to find and is about 1 inch narrower.

Also difficult to find but very strong = 9.25. 73 up B body/Magnum/Cordoba. Bolt right in and same driveshaft.

Late 60's "C" bodies can be a good source for an 8.75. Some are a little over an inch narrower than a 71-74 "B" 8.75. Left side lug bolts might still have left handed threads, but a simple fix.
