73 Satellite From arm rest mounting

On the front door panel where the arm rest mounts to the lower panel, is there a metal bracket that helps support this, or does it just mount to the plastic panel and the plastic panel then bolts to the door with 2 screws. It seems to me that there would be a metal bracket that would tie that together better and to help support it.

I think 71/72 had the metal and 73/74 did not IIRC.

Thanks, it sure looks to me like it needs something there, but since this car had no interior when I got it I have no reference. Thanks again, I'll put it on without and if it seem like a problem I'll fab up a bracket.

Interesting, I'm thinking the door panel is the same on my 73 Charger, lower anyway. And I am trying to picture where a bracket would go on the earlier ... got any pics?
