I twisted the driveshaft out of my 66 Charger while on the dyno (u-Joint failure)
I am looking at a Driveshaft from PST with 1350 U-joints

My rear end is a 3:91 gear inside a 741 housing

Does anyone know what the spline count is for the pinion yoke?
is it a 10 spline like the 742 rear?

If you are looking for a custom driveshaft, PM me.
"I've got a guy"...

A 741 case pinion gear should be 10 splines. I believe the 29 spline pinion gear came out later with a 489 case.
But I could be wrong.......

I think that info would be on Dr Diff's site. (I think the 741 and 742 were 10 spline, the 489 are the fine spline, but ive been wrong four or five times today already, according to my girlfriend ).

I think you could get that shaft to work with a little work.....:fool:

Crazy. I still run the bone stock original shaft in my 67, with the little joints. 1000s of passes, some juiced into the 10s but normally mid elevens . 20 some years. 0 failure rate. But yours isn't stock, by the looks of it.

That had to make some noise.

look at your pinion nut --- if a 1-1/8 socket fits the nut your yoke is coarse (10 ) spline ,,,, if 1-1/4 or 1-5/16 socket fits your yoke is fine (29 ) spline

Nice and simple
Thank you!
