8 3/4 swap

67 satellite and will be swapping rears from a 2.76 open to a 3.23 Suregrip. Have Dr. Diff green bearings kit along with conversion u-joint.
As far as I understand, if I had a problem with the 3.23, I could swap the open rear back w/o any other changes, other than my u-joint, due to going from a 741 to 489.

Yes. The 741, 742, and 489 cases are dimensionally identical.
