Got my 64 belvedere on the road with my new to me 8 spd auto, Piece of cake to get it in and Russell Drake's harness and controller worked great!
 
Did you have to modify your trans tunnel? Torsion bar crossover?
 
Holley cross member eliminator kit?
Russell Drake = sound german?
How much was the harness and controller?

Someone brings up something that peaks my interest and bails. All these old engines are torque monsters and need more gears to be efficient and we can't find out Jack.

He posted back in November about a 6.4 Hemi/8HP70 swap into his '64. So it's definitely not behind any big block.
