Cylinder pressures in the Demon 170 peak at 2,500 psi, 50 percent higher than in the 797-hp Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye. What does that number mean? We all know about compression ratios, but it can't mean that could it? What is cylinder pressure say in one of our muscle cars?

Unlike regular cylinder pressure readings that you get while cranking an engine with a pressure gauge attached, those 2,500 psi numbers are the actual full throttle pressures achieved by combustion in a running engine.

It means the flame front or burn rate of the fuel and amount of air/ fuel charge ignited efficiently is highly improved over what weve had in the past! cylinder head design/ optimum fuel mixture/fuel atomization all come into play as well as piston position and the engines components ability to withstand those pressures and shed the heat produced by breathing better!
