A short story on Dodge muscle cars from Hot Rod

It seems they missed the ‘68-‘70 Charger. Yeah, the Daytona is in there. But with only 503 made, some have never seen one in person. The mid year Chargers are the hottest Mopar out there right now.

What about my 1967 Coroner R/T? Dodge has chosen to plaster the R/T badge on just about anything ever since. From 4-door Chargers to Calibers to Durango SUV's.

They did mention the second generation:
After the false start of the 1966-to-1967 Dodge Charger, Dodge went back to the drawing board. Sales of the flagship Dodge Charger had been poor, but instead of abandoning it, Dodge made it even sexier and more accessible for 1968. Sales went from 15,788 in the 1967 model year, to 96,108 in 1968.
