A Tribute to Ol' Blue Eyes from Ol' Brown Eyes Himself...

I sphinct dat ya trying to make a pun here. :p

:luvplace:

I used to know a WOMAN on the Australian Olympic team and she used the expression: working her ring off. It took me a few min. to figure out what she was talking about. I thought you'd be familiar with that expression.

Yep....have used that one quite a bit over the years. :D

I hope he doesn't eat at Taco Bell....

Two protein shakes, almond butter and steak for dinner and I could have given Mr. Methane a run for his money tonight! Eggs and bacon for breakfast probably helped also. The ones with my workout compression tights on were real cheek flappers and long and musical.:D:eek: They really need a fart emoji on this site.

I've been to Adelaide - I really enjoyed Australia.
Glad you enjoyed Australia and hoped you liked Adelaide too! Adelaide is pretty far down the list of key destinations here. What made you come to Adelaide?
I've not been to USA (unless Hawaii twice counts?!), but I do enjoy your Colonels chicken occasionally.

That was over 30yrs ago, I went to train with Bev Francis, then they had the World Championships in Australia. The woman from the Olympic team I mentioned who worked her "ring" off was a discus thrower by the name of Gail Mulhaul. Bev was also on the team, I'm pretty sure she was a shot-putter. I learned a lot about training although even Bev admitted years later that her routine was a recipe for injuries and she had plenty. We drove all over the place and even went on a road trip with her parents in their caravan(?). Then I went to NZ before going back to the US. I remember my favorite food, lamb, is dirt cheap there and Bev and I bought a whole rack, cooked it and ate it!
I wouldn't consider HI the same as mainstream USA and even within this country you have regions where the culture is different, like here where we have open carry, v the NE commie block where they think banning guns is going to protect people from criminals...who don't follow the law in the first place but that's another story. I lived up there most of my life and am glad I moved out over 20yrs ago.
I remember an Australian woman we visited who probably spent the better part of 30 min chewing ME out because a McDonalds had opened there. She knew how crappy that food is and saw how people were flocking to eat it. I don't go to fast food places unless I have no other option. Colonel Sanders original restaurant is about 45 miles from here in Shelbyville, I don't eat there or at KFC, gross! And expensive.
Do you have muscle car cruise ins and shows where you live? Usually the summers here are packed with events to take cars to but then there are TONS of muscle cars here.
