FOR SALE A833 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION - 64-65 NOS - 23 SPLINE INPUT - 4 BOLT FLANGE OUTPUT W/ NOS HURST LINKAGE

This transmission was purchased from a Chrysler dealer and was NOS (new old stock). It was installed in my 1963 Plymouth Fury and now has less than 10 thousand miles on it. These transmissions were OEM in 1964-65. It is in excellent condition, shifts great and I am including the transmission crossmember and mount. It is a 23 spline input, with a 4.354" bearing retainer and 2.66 low gear. I've paired it with a NOS Hurst shifter (never used) and a Silver Sport stick.
The price is $1500.00 picked up in Lincoln, CA, about 30 miles east of Sacramento. I can build a shipping crate for $150. and ship it at your expense.

Optical illusion. Outside is 3-4 Middle is 1-2 Inside is R. Arms and rods are correct. I installed my first Hurst shifter in 1961 and then raced NHRA with 4 speeds for over 30 years. Did a lot of transmission teardowns before I discovered Joe Liberty. When I read your post I'm not saying I didn't go out to the garage and take a look...lol. At 80, I'm not sure of anything any more...

Fair enough, I'm a racer but not big into 4 speeds. But I've been dealing with my Dad's shifter, and eventually found stamped part #s on the rods which correlated with hursts tables. And the kinky one appears to be bent for clearance on reverse. Seems to fit better as well.

Was the threaded adjustment nut not installed on the reverse rod at the transmission lever back in those days? Maybe that was a later change.

On the transmission I have for sale in this thread; the mount, the rods and arms are installed per the Hurst Installation sheet for a 64-65 B body. Thanks for looking...

Okay then. The short answer to your question is, Yes, it will fit your car. The long answer is there are better options. This transmission would require you to have your driveshaft modified to fit the 4 bolt flange. In addition, building a crate to ship it would be $150. and shipping to IL would be expensive. I would recommend looking locally for a 1966 and up transmission. They are plentiful. You might start by contacting Brewer's Performance in Laura, OH (brewersperformance.com), members on this site.
