Guys, need some advice on my 70 Dodge Charger 383 auto power steering box. Is it normal for the box to be so close to the inner fender panel? I’ve checked everything for alignment and any signs of damage and there doesn’t appear to be anything wrong or bent. It’s the correct K frame and everything looks original. Steering column lines up etc just can’t understand why it’s just touching the side. Is it possible that’s just the way the bracket was welded in the factory? Wondering if the K frame can be moved over slightly?
Any help appreciated
Thanks
Dave

Loosen the K frame & move it over what little amount it will move & see if it gives you more clearance.

The K member mounting bolts are tapered. They "center" as you screw them in so there is no side to side or fore-aft adjustment.
