Aftermarket CD ignition box compatibility with MOPAR electronic distributor?

I have an MSD 6a sitting on the shelf - can I use just the MOPAR performance distributor (without the orange or chrome box) to trigger the MSD?
 
yes as well....I got standard Mopar electronic distributor to trigger my MSD box on the Daytona...works great
