Aftermarket shifter

My shifter isn't exactly what I want i my 69 Roadrunner and I'd like to upgrade it both for the feel but also for the look.

What would my options be if I want to keep the stock center console?

Remember that I'm pretty new to the "Old car" family, but coming from a SRT8 LX-car I'm no beginner at wrenching.

For a good street and strip shifter I like the B&M Quicksilver. It's a true ratchet shifter without the goofy handles to feel for.

How well does it fit into the factory center console?

Not much fits in there, easily....and looks worth anything.
