FYI:
I just picked up the HOT ROD magazine "SPECIAL COLLECTORS ISSUE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 426 HEMI: 1964-2014"
Haven't read it all yet, but so far it's been worth reading...

Also, Popular Hot Rodding has there "Muscle Car ENGINE SHOOTOUT!"
Verdict is still out on this one...

The 426 Hemi wins for 50 years straight. This particular engine Verion II or Earlier enjoyed a true Hemispherical Combustion chamber and short running intake and exhaust. This alone made for serous Horse power no wedge or Gen Hemi is capable of. But reminding my self the down fall is Rocker gemontery and Severe cost to build.

Yup...got the HR rag in the mail yesterday and about to go to the 'office' to read it.

MATS Vegas will have Tom Hoover. All Hail the King!

1963: Chrysler to R+D techs-Build something!
1964: Hemi kicks Chevrolet and Ford butt.
1965: Hemis banned, not available in production cars.
1966: 426 on the Showroom floors! Charger! Coronet!

50 years of Domination!

Think I got the years right, the order is correct. God Bless Ma Mopar.

Makes total sense. once every 50 years Hot Rod runs an article that is not "CHEVY-CENTRIC"
