Hi all! What's the correct finish for the alternator? I saw one at the Mopars in the Park Show that appeared to just have a clear coat on it. Thinking that the stock alternators were bare, correct? What kind of clear paint can hold up to the heat of the engine bay? Does bead blasting harm the factory finish?
Thanks in advance for your time!!

Yes they were bare and a quality clear made for aluminum would hold up just fine.

My 2¢, don't do it. There is some stuff called RPM you can use.
There is a picture of my restored 69 alternator on here somewhere. For some reason I can't upload photos.
