Are Champion aluminum rads a good choice for a 68 big block b-body? My other option would be one from Summit.
I use one in my racecar. It's been fine.
I prefer one that looks more stock. There are some good choices in that department too.
I have one a 26" 3 row in my 67.
440 engine, 7 blade fixed fan and shroud.
Works fine.
If you go aluminum, two 1.25" rows, 2.75" total thickness, is better than a 3 row. More surface cooling area on the tubes.
I just prefer stock OE copper period.... :)
I'm pretty sure most on here would agree. Except $200 vs $800. And if Glen Ray would give me a radiator to try in 125° summer temps w a 496" and a/c, I'd be more than happy to try it n give an honest review. Now remember, 125° air temp is about 140-150 at 2' off the asphalt. I'll stick w my proven 2 row aluminum until then.
I use them in both my mopars. They work fine. Do some serious price shopping on them because the prices vary from reseller to reseller.
I just bought a champion a few months back and while it works ok, If I were to do it again I would purchase one from this eBay seller Autocity Classic. They look OE and have the same core design as champion with the updated big 2 row design.

Champion customer service was good but the first radiator I got was not packed well and was damaged. The second one that came was better, packed and worked for my application, but fitment could have been better. The only reason I did not go the Autocity originally was they were backordered and out of stock for 3 months.
I have one of their 3 rows with a shroud and two fans. Also used one of their flap kits for freeway flow. Almost never goes over 180 even in heavy traffic.
