AMD rear valance question

I installed new AMD rear valance along with other AMD sheet metal on my '68 Charger.
I don't know how in the world I missed this small but very important detail, but I did and now I feel like a fool. I didn't catch it until after I finished the paint work and started installing the rear bumper.
Here's the problem. It's a '68 valance with NO '69 reverse light holes, but it does have the holes for the '69 reverse light wire grommet. THAT'S THE SMALL DETAIL I MISSED.
Has anyone else run into this? At this point, I'm going to have to weld up the holes and repaint the lower valance.
For what it's worth, I did call AMD and did not get a satisfactory answer.

I can only think of a few that got really close..
I doubt they will do much for you
weld it up and paint it and don't waste your time on them

I was just curious is someone else had this problem. I plan to do exactly as you mentioned. Not reallly looking for/expecting help from AMD.

I would bet it wouldn't even be noticed except for a select few like you.
I ended up using a Goodmark Dutchman panel on the A12
because the same AMD panel has a extra lump
near the gutter that was never there originally and the curve around the window was off.
I started looking around for a original piece and with no real luck
I then bought a Goodmark part to try for the heck of it
and it at least was something I could work with.
