An impossible thing

No way no how! Was hoping to reuse my turn signal lenses but after 50 years there is no way that the plastic tabs would bend enough to release the lens and not break. The plastic is so brittle that just looking at a little twisted would break them! An impossible thing!

Same to you. That happened to me taking off the front fender top mounted turn signals on my 67 Coronet. They were brittle and fell apart.

Pretty common. If the lenses are nice and you don't want to spring for new ones, just use some good double backed tape and call it a day.
