Another 80 year old drumming icon leaves us

They were way before my time but undoubtedly the best music ever created came from that era. Real talent. Not like the modern computer generated autotune garbage. RIP

Well, I agree to a degree. They sounded great, but they were very, very interested in new technology of the time, seeking sounds that no one else was offering. As was King Crimson and Yes.... Do a little reading about the Mellotron and you'll see what I mean. And true, great, great loss to this world. :(
 
Not only the Mellotron, which was introduced to Mike Pinder by the Beatles, but Edge was the driving force behind electric drums.
He did have a very unique style.

CORRECTION: Pinder introduced the Mellotron to John Lennon. Pinder worked at Streetly Music, the makers of the Mellotron.
