So I went to a salvage yard here in north texas to pick up some rear interior panels for my 79. I was told 25 a side, when I got there it was now 125 a side. While I was waiting to be let down and frustrated a guy come in to check on a tail light for a 57 ford. He asked the guy working there if they bought cars because be has a 78 chrylser he needed out of his yard. Long story short, I waited outside for the old guy got his info and I now own another doba. 600 for a complete 78 400 car all there with a next to perfect body parked in 91 because it would not pass emissions. Yay me, and I will have parts for sale soon.

Let me know what parts you will have for sale. I have 2 79 Cordobas, 2 78 Magnums and a 79 300. Always needing parts. Thanks

Sorry for the delay guys, have been busy and the weather sucked here last week and I think we are geting more this week. Didnt have a truck to pull my trailer with so I went and bought one and now the snow and ice have kept the trailer in the driveway. Hopefully this week/weekend I will get the car home and inventory what i have to sell.

That sounds more like a solid project car than parts car. I've got a complete 76 Doba parts car minus drivetrain with power windows, buckets, moonroof. It originally had a 400 and was taken out with around 42k on it. Unfortunately the car got sat outside, so the rich Corinthian leather is cracked, but the backseat is ok, so I might wind up swapping that interior into my 76 driver and getting white seat covers for the buckets.

So four months later and still no time to do the things I would like to do, I got the 78 back to the shop and out of the weather and ready to see what I plan to use and sell. The paint looks horrible but the body is really straight other than some rust on the underside of the trunk lid.

Now I need t o decode it to see what gears it come with since it is a 400 car. I honestly think that a can of good gas and a battery and this thing could turn over. It was parked for 20 years and nothing made it home under the hood or chewed anything up, which is amazing to me, for a yard car.

I will definately let the headliner go since mine is basically perfect and tan, and possibly some of the other interior panels also. I have another set of doors that I have had for a couple of years, so I can let those go also, I know they are tan like my car, and one has a door panel, but otherwise cant remember how good they are. They are also manual windows. I will get pics nect time I am at my shop.

I don't know if this is true? Looks like something chewed up that steering
wheel? lol  Body does look good! nice find!

I think its the 20 years that chewed on the wheel, and the old man that wanted the seats for his 56 ford.

Howzabout the upper door panels and armrests? I'm really intersted in the armrests, but the upper "pull" part attatches in a different spot than on my 76 so I'd need the upper, upholstered panels also. If they are for manual windows I'd be interested in the regulators and cranks too.

Sorry, I didn't mean to come off sounding like such a vulture. I do like your new 78. If mine had patina like that, I probably wouldn't have been so quick to hose it down with black. :headbang::headbang:

What were you thinking price wise on the upper panels, pulls and regulators?

Thanks for the pics. If this is to be used for parts I've got a '79 300 and I really could use those front side marker lights !! I'm so desparate you can email me directly [EMAIL="[/EMAIL] !!
