Another look back into the history of car racing.

I came across this and was impressed with what I learned about the good old days of car racing from it.
So much of what we all grow up with has--other tales yet to be told.

Reflecting on this thought---Why am I now learning about stuff that should have been the talk of the day for everyone as it played out?

someone just recently posted that

& it's still good

attempt to create a Drivers Union,
alleged an unsafe track,
was tearing the shitty *** old style tires up
Big Bill got out there & showed them he could do it
& after al the BS, they held the race anyway
without many of the top names

I'm not sure it's warranted, the worst race in NASCAR
