It is getting cold out so I have some time to look at parts I have had laying around for decades that I have no clue what they fit. Decades ago I bought a bunch of parts from a dealership and these were in the pile. They are dirty Nos rubber guards with a cast number of 3719186-7.. Thanks in advance..

Something newer than 73 because it’s The big ugly type. Not for a 1978 fury, I have one.

I think those might be for a 70s C body.
My pornographic memory is a bit fuzzy.

Pure guess here. but I seem to remember
    something similar on a 1980's Volare/
    Aspen/Grand Fury police cruiser.

Thanks I searched could not find a match... The fronts on a 80 Aspen R/T look similar but too many body lines to match these...

These look similar to what you have.
The bottom pic is for the rear bumper.

Nothing unusual about that, just like all the GM Saginaw power steering pumps used by Mopar, or the Chrysler 883 four speeds that ended up in Chevy trucks, or Quadrajets on Ford and Chrysler engines. They weren't really 'robbed', they were bought and paid for.

By being 'robbed', I meant instead of
AMC designing their own parts, they
would incorporate parts from any of
the big 3. AMC used GM steering
          pumps, transmissions, etc.
My CJ has a steering column that
came out of an El Camino. It bolted
right in, though the wiring was
          different.

And as I said in the post you quoted, the other companies did similar things. Have you noticed how an AAM (GM) rear end is installed in new Ram trucks, just like a Chevy? Or how the 8 speed Torqueflite is really a ZF Friedrichshafen transmission designed in Germany, even though Chrysler does build it under license? A lot of 60's Chrysler products had a Prestolite distributor, made by Autolite. Most customers likely didn't notice, or care. :)

They had to cut costs somewhere , it happens all the time. I’ve seen freight liner heavy trucks with door actuators marked mopar, I do get bit don’t like it. Freight liner was Daimler so I know I’ve seen other mopar parts on them .

Hey, it's an 18 pack! Better than nothing.
All you gotta do now is find someone
with a Spirit that needs some bumper
pads. Might have better luck selling
them to a Rat-rodder. I've got tons of
stuff I've kept over the years just like
this. Just can't seem to throw it out
            if someone can use it.
