I leave tomorrow at Noon for the big show! I'll be cruising my 1968 Road Runner. Over the past year, I've done lots of work to her in preparation to both - increase reliability and driveability.
My good buddy will be driving his 1964 Dodge with AC, lucky bastard.
I gotta admit, although it's only 180 for me one way from Pittsburgh, I'm a little nervous, but excited at the same time.

been a while since I've done a road trip in the car, but I used to drives 7 hours to Michigan in my '68 Charger, only hic up was a bad muffler. Then I was doing 5 hours to Kentucky, and had an alternator lock up on my old truck. Takes some spares, have road service, and have a blast. I'm hopping to make Carlisle next year.

I will be driving the wagon there tomorrow. It is just under 300 miles each way for me.

I drive every year until last year when a truck in front of me drive off the road to the freshly milled right lane. Broken grills, several paint chips and dings in the trim. It’s a great drive but that just ruined it for me.
Also just above Pittsburgh, 210 miles for me.

No, I'm better than 6 hours from Carlisle, I wouldn't have a problem with the car getting there and back, I just don't want to take a chance on the road hazard issues. They are doing paving practically everywhere these days + the stone chips. The took a 2012 SRT yellow jacket in 2015, it was a great trip but I got a few stone chips on the way

Drove my Runner home from Carlisle last year and the Duster the year before. Only reason I trailered down is my buddy had an empty trailer on the way down so why not. Loved both times driving home in the old cars. Bout a 5 hour drive for me from Carlisle home to Buffalo NY.

Had thought about taking cuda but non highway gears and 4 speed. Taking amx this year. 5 speed 2.87 gears and ice cold ac. Around 200 miles one way and leaving mid day tomorrow. Actually going to Maryland first to grab parts then back up to Carlisle hotel room. Hoping for no issues

I'm only about 2 hours away just south of Baltimore but I'm gonna trailer it there. Just don't have all the bugs worked out yet and they are constantly doing construction up there with jersey walls and no shoulder to pull off onto. My dad's Fury and my car with the small block have made the drive before without issue though.

Good to hear! I passed you just before 3 with about 100 miles to go. Maroon RR with white top right?

I was shocked, I only passed you, a white Super Bee on a trailer, and a 64 Plymouth that was along side the road. Looked like he was waiting for someone. Oh, and. 4 dr C body. Newport I think.

Drove the '55 wagon up on Friday. Blew out something in the exhaust system on the way. Car sounded awful, but that's the way it'll stay at least until next week when I feel like dealing with it. Broke the throttle return spring driving home Friday evening. Thankfully, a helpful farmer stopped, scrounged around in his truck, and got us going again. Drove up and back again on Saturday, blown out, farty sounding exhaust be damned. I believe the muffler on my car was installed at the factory. Sad to see it have to go after surviving this long. All those decades it reportedly spent in New Mexico must have been kind. I doubt '55 Plymouth mufflers lasted more than a few years in the rustbelt.

I have been going for decades
This was the first year driving from over 300 miles away that
I did not see a single old mopar on the road
                          zero,zip nothing!
I did see over a dozen enclosed trailers
                          On the way home
                          I saw only one
A clapped out swinger stugging to do 60
