Besides being used in some 440 4-speed C-bodies, it looks like the 9.25 Dana 53 was supposed to be used in 440 4-speed B-bodies with the Dana 60 only used on Hemi 4 speed cars. I'm glad that never happened--this must have been an early '67 service manual printing before it was decided that the 440 4-speed B-bodies would get a Dana 60.

Oddly enough I was just looking at driveshaft info in there today and noticed the same thing.
I have a 68 monaco 500 440 4spd D53 as well( Dana's missing..)

Cool! It seemed like the Dana 53 was nearly obsolete by '67 or so. Jeep, Lincoln and a few others used it previously but I think the C-bodies were the last to use it before it was discontinued.

Would that be the same 9.25 that was used in many 4th gen Chargers/Cordoba such as a 79 300 ?

The Dana 53 with a 3.31 ratio was intended for 440 4 speed B bodies in 1967, but I don't think it ever happened. Shop manuals, parts books, and 1967 Data books, all mention it.
