Hello,

I have a 67 GTX. Can anyone tell me what belongs in the whole on my dashboard. I circled it in green in the attached pic.

Didn't a fader switch go on the other side of the steering column?

Nitrous switch? Photon torpedoes? Passenger eject? Auto pilot? Whiskey dipspenser?

sure that's a factory hole?? if so maybe the dash came out of a convertible? would the top switch be located there?

My wagon has the tailgate window switch there.

Could maybe be a map light switch.

Does the hole look drilled or stamped?

The whole appears to be factory. On either side of the whole is a hole for a screw or some attachment. I've seen other hardtop gtx's with it, so I don't think it is from a convertible.

its the emergency flasher. I have the flasher and it is in that exact position.

4 way flasher switch goes there...look behind the dash and you might see 4 wires that don't connect to anything

Extra Hole

As stated in a previous post - the dash is either out of a convertible or a station wagon. the top or back window switch goes there. Look in the 67 Plymouth operators manual in the glove box!!!

I believe the OP's pic already shows the flasher switch in the dash.

Extra Hole Part II

In the pic just behind the edge of the steering wheel you will see the switch that operates the top of this 67 GTX convertible.67gtx convertible dash.jpg

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll check the manual again.

And yes, I already have the flasher there.

I just looked at the owners manual.

Tailgate window and convertible top appear to be the only options.

That and the fact that there are two additional holes on either side suggests someone drilled it and mounted an aftermarket switch there for something.

the 2 additional smaller holes are stock....my Chargers have these holes drilled for the flasher and hold open switches

Does your Charger have a plate or some kind of fill piece in those holes?

What's a "hold open switch"?

EDIT- is that for the headlights? That's not gonna be on a GTX, unless there's a Charger dash frame in it.

Remember, we can already see the flasher switch in the pic.

Side note- in 66 flashers were an option, in 67 IIRC standard.
