B body temp sensor quesiton (slant six to 440 swap)

Hey everybody.
We have our 1969 Satellite we have remove the slant 6 powertrain and k frame from and installed a 1974 440, 1969 k frame, and a 4 speed overdrive.
Getting our wiring figured out for the coolant sensor.
Is the slant 6 gauge and sensor similar spec to what we would use on the 440?
The local parts shops are pretty useless and want to sell us something that doesn't fit or look right.

did you Google both sensors to see if they are the same? Gauge I believe would read the same temp no matter the engine.

Same sensor for a gauge as far as I know.

No, sorry. I see I wasn't clear in my post. We used a 1969 big block k frame with the 70's 440.
