I don't drive the 97SS very often so I let the renewals on my tags slide for a few years. Driving in Denver on an 8 lane highway a cop easily slid in behind me and I got a $!50 ticket.

So I didn't pay it right away, I thought I had until my court date. Nope, the deadline was way past. The county moved back my court date to June 15th because of the Corona Virus.

Today the court called and said go renew your tags, send us a copy and no ticket, no court date.

I'm loving driving around, the first time legally, with expired tags on all our vehicles. We are exempt until this covid mess is over. Actually hoping the exemption lasts until the Fall and it will save me $240 alone on the old cars!

That would never happen here in Michigan! You would have had an arrest warrant issued a day after you didn't pay your ticket! 440'

You sure they won't just start the registration at the time it expired. In Ct. you get nothing free, hope Canada is more generous.

Great minds think alike: I took the 97 Z28 out today since I'm still waiting on california to process the Charger's registration tags...

Why I said I hope it lasts until Fall.. after that I don't care as the cars will be put away. We pay Birthday to Birthday (March in my case) so I may just get a free year.

Nice score, Steve.
Today Wisconsin suspended road tests for new drivers. It's now optional - probably until the end of the year. They said Nebraska and Iowa have been doing this for decades?

I sent a check to the S of S on March 17th for a renewal of my "historic" license plate, still don't have it?
