I joined last year (April), and forgot to do this.
Originally from NORCAL.
My first car was a 70 Charger my parents bought in 1970. In 1979 The Dukes Of Hazzard started, and I wanted a 69 Charger. 4 70 Chargers later, and in 2021 I finally own a REAL 1969 Charger R/T SE. I am a medically retired veteran, and have a vast knowledge in the 69/70 Chargers. I worked in a Mopar only dismantling yard in the 80's next to Mather AFB. I communicate regularly with David Wise (he's adding me as a contributor to his books) also share info with Galen Govier. My parents had a 74 Dodge Van they bought new, and had it painted, and we customized, and did the ISCA show circuit and won a lot, and when that stopped we had a mini van go cart, that we replicated the full size van, and also did shows and won a lot. Attending car shows you end up meeting people, and kind of become family, like Gene Winfield, George Barris are a couple to mention. I also worked at Sacramento Raceway in the 80's as a member of the Fire Safety Crew, I kept my 70 Charger at the starting line next to the tower, to help reprep the track if there was an oil down, by doing burn outs to put down more rubber, for the NHRA events (OLD SCHOOL)
I am here to help others and also learn things I may not know.
I appreciate being around MOPAR family (we own 3)
I am on Instagram as Cowtown_dad
and on IMDB
Thank You FBBO
My 69 Charger R/T SE is non numbers matching but has a 69 440 and 727, it's R4 and not the original colorT7, and the interior should be CRT Tan, and its CX9 Black. It's a factory A47 car, with a Six way drivers seat.
I redid everything from the fuel cap to the CH4B intake, added Holley Sniper EFI with the Hyperspark ignition, had the AM 8 track restored to a AM/FM MP3, Bluetooth, USB, Handsfree. New wheels, Cluster I restored, and had the gauges and everything electrical tested and calibrated by Tommy White at Parthound.net , All the wiring was replaced or restored. Car isn't perfect, but its mine and I can drive it.
