Pedal goes down easy until its almost to floor then works well stopping the car.
New booster and MC don't remember previous set up with that much travel.

Thanks

What was your previous setup?

Four wheel drum?

Brakes adjusted? Booster to master cylinder rod long enough?

About half pedal is where you should get firm braking, at the most.
Brakes at each wheel adjusted?? Drum all around, or disc/drum?

I have found a different brake pedal on 64 plymouth cars with power brakes. Pedal arm is longer and has a higher pivot point. I cut my pedal arm part way and bent it toward seat then welded it. I have good pedal height and does not go about to the floor.

did you adjust booster freeplay in the rod length to master cyl when you installed new booster?

front disc rear drum just replaced master and booster.
Rod length could be a little short.

thanks
